Just a thought, but is it possible that somehow when you start the install, (assuming your computer is online), that initially the installer is "seeing" the additional content for Logic Pro X being offered from the Apple site and it starts to download and install it until it gets to the point, it recognizes it's content for a different version and therefore incompatable? Just a thought, hope it helps shed some light on the issue. My point in all this is, If the Logic Pro 9 additional content was available as a download from Apple it was a very well kept secret, in which I've never heard of anyone else knowing about it.
